“We had a splendid time during this tour! Our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We felt very much like being in good hands. We saw many monkeys, birds, butterflies, even sloths, etc. After we left we had the feeling we had done every activity that you can do in the area. Our favourite part was the trip to Sandoval Lake where we saw also a cayman, monkeys and many many bird species. The lodge was great. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well. Sergio was really great during our clay lick parrot early morning tour, monkey island and piranha fishing!! We especially loved the national reserve where we saw so many howler monkeys and their howls!! He even took us on an extra night walk to find some sloths which we did!! “The lodge was in terrible condition. Our bathroom was dirty, and although a cleaner came daily to make the bed, they never actually cleaned the room. The pool smelled awful and was completely green — clearly neglected. The room also had numerous spider webs, which only added to the overall lack of cleanliness. To make matters worse, we later discovered that we paid double the price compared to another couple who booked offline at a local store — a frustrating revelation given the poor quality of the experience. The guide was able to help us spot animals, but offered very little information about the Amazon unless we asked specific questions.…”

“I had such a good experience on this trip. Louis was definitely the best guide I could ask for. The days were packed and I was able to see so many wild animals in their natural habitat. I am usually vegetarian at home and can’t eat dairy and they were more than accommodating. The rooms are hot with no fans but you’re in the jungle. I did learn that people paid a different amount of money each but I think it’s 1000% worth it.”

“It was okay. The Jungle Trip lasted for exactly 48 hours over 3 days and two nights. While the guides were really helpful, kind and knew a lot about the flora and fauna, there were some downsides: A guide brought a caiman on board of our boat and showed it around, really close to all inhabitants. That was unnecessary, cruel to the anima and dangerous for us. The food was alright at best, but local. In the end, we were left with a bit of a sour note, but we do not regret participating. The price seemed fair for what we were given.”
